Criticalist
New River Veterinary Specialists is seeking to add an additional Board Certified Criticalist, or an individual who has completed an ACVECC/ECVECC approved residency.
Our privately-owned facility is located 30 minutes from historic Savannah, GA and 20 minutes from the beaches of Hilton Head Island, SC. NRVS is a brand new custom built 15,000-square foot state of the art facility opening Summer 2022 with a full in-house lab, 16 slice helical CT, fluoroscopy and interventional radiology suite, ultrasound, in house blood bank and component therapy, arthroscopy/laparoscopy, minimally invasive surgery, full service sports medicine and rehabilitation department, and a dedicated intensive care unit including long-term mechanical ventilation.
We are offering a unique opportunity for the right individuals to shape their own specialty service and contribute to the culture of the hospital. Have you ever wanted to build and grow your own Critical Care department? This opportunity is unique in that our medical director is an experienced Criticalist interested in supporting your service and helping you grow! Expand your skills (ultrasound, endoscopy, interventional procedures), focus on critical cases in a tertiary referral environment and find your long term hospital to call home.
We believe that there should be no barriers between emergency doctors and specialists. A collegial team approach to medicine is what we promote thereby providing our clients and patients with the highest level of collaborative care. We plan to work closely with the veterinarians in the region to provide seamless care for their patients and clients. We are committed to delivering an exceptional client experience. NRVS will be a center for education for regional veterinary personnel.
